Christopher Stalford is a life-long resident of Belfast. Born in Annadale he was educated at Wellington College Belfast and the Queens University where he graduated with a degree in Politics and Modern History. He was elected to Belfast City Council in May 2005 representing the Laganbank ward and is currently the Chairman of the Ulster and Waterfront Halls Board. Councillor Stalford is deeply involved in European Funding issues. He is currently employed by Jim Allister QC MEP and is committed to ensuring fairness for all communities in allocation of resources. Christopher is married to Laura and his interests include reading and history.

Maurice Johnston is Belfast Area Manager of the NI Housing Executive. He has a BA (Hons) in Philosophy and an Institute of Housing Professional Qualification ; has worked for NIHE for 27 years and is a member of the North Eastern Education and Library Board. He is married with three children.

Sam Burns currently works with Outreach Youth Initiative. He has worked for approximately 15 years in all aspects of Community Development and is currently involved with North Belfast Community Support Group, North Belfast Partnership Board, North Belfast Employment Centre, North City Business Centre, Arts for All, Grove Tenants Association, Grove Community Centre and CPL Committee. This gives a range of experience from social problems to economic development. Sam is married with two sons and his personal interests include gardening, DIY and travelling.
Marie Cavanagh is Director of Gingerbread NI. She holds directorships with Lower Ormeau Residents Action Group and the Markets and Lower Ormeau Community Forum. Marie is also on the Board of the Northern Ireland Anti-Poverty Network and Children in Northern Ireland.
Sammy Douglas is Voluntary Chairman of Greater East Belfast Partnership. He is a self-employed Community Economic Development Advisor, a Board member of Laganside Corporation and voluntary Director of East Belfast Community Development Agency. His personal interests include football, music, spiders, jogging, politics, Bible reading (KJV), and family pursuits.
Liam Maskey founded the Newington/Cavehill Community Services Association (NCCSA) in 1989 and is both co-founder and Director of Intercomm since 1995, a cross community project operating in North Belfast . He was a founding Member of the North Belfast Partnership Board and he has served on the Belfast European Partnership Board since its formation in 1996. He has recently been awarded the prestigious U.S. President's Award for his efforts in promoting peace and reconciliation.
Gerry McConville is the Director of Falls Community Council.
Mr. Yu is the Executive Director of the Northern Ireland Council for Ethnic Minorities. He has LLB, Post-graduate Diploma on Legal Practice, and Diploma in Social Work. He is actively involved in the race equality and human rights campaign in Northern Ireland, UK, Republic of Ireland and Europe. In January 2006, he was awarded an OBE for services to Community Relations.
He is currently the member of the Legal Expert Panel to advise the government on the Single Equality Bill for Northern Ireland. He recently also appointed by the Public Appointment Commissioner on her Diversity Working Group. He is also a member of the Civic Forum of the Northern Ireland Assembly (the Assembly is currently suspended), member of the Senate of the Queen’s University of Belfast (since 2002) and EU-China Human Rights Network Expert member (in preparation for China to ratify both the ICCPR and ICESCR through training and dialogue).
He was the former Commissioner (2001-2003) of the Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission, Deputy Chairman of the Commission for Racial Equality for Northern Ireland (1997-1999). He was also member of the High Level Steering Group on Public Awareness Programme on Racism of the Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform, Republic of Ireland (2000-2004). He was also the former Chair of the Starting Line Group (1998-2001), a European Network of legal experts and key NGOs, which campaigns for the EU Directive on racial and religious discrimination. The Starting Line proposal became the cornerstone of the European Commission’s Race Directive
Mr. Yu also involved the European preparation process for the World Conference Against Racism as one of the seven Expert Members (representing Western Europe) of the NGO Resource Group of the Council of Europe (1999-2001) in which working in partnership with 41 Member States organised the European Conference Against Racism and the NGO Forum in Strasbourg in 2000. He was also the Rapporteur of the Legal Protection Caccus of the NGO Forum of the Durban World Conference Against Racism in 2001.
He is also the Steering Group member of the UK Race European Network and the co-Board member of UK in the European Network Against Racism (ENAR).
Jackie McCoy is a Professor in Management Development at the Business Institute, University of Ulster. She has had responsibility for the design, delivery and evaluation of a wide portfolio of business and management development initiatives for public, private, and community & voluntary sector organisations. Jackie has wide international experience and has led consultancy projects in the United States, Europe and the Middle East. Over the past five years she has been actively engaged in the development of support initiatives for the community & voluntary sectors and is at the forefront of curriculum and programme development for the social economy. Jackie has been an active member of Belfast LSP since its inception and was former Chair of the Belfast European Partnership Board.
Brendan Mackin is Director of Belfast Unemployed Resource Centre. He is Vice-President of the Irish Congress of Trade Unions, Chairperson of the Social Economy Agency, Board member of the NI Housing Executive and Chairperson of Intercomm (North Belfast). He lists his personal interests as sport, reading and visiting pubs.
Manus Maguire works with Cliftonville Joint Development Group and was nominated to the LSP by the Northern Ireland Committee of the Irish Congress of Trade Unions and the Belfast and District Trades Council.
Anne McVicker is a member of Unison, and has been part of the Belfast European Partnership Board (now Belfast Local Strategy Partnership) since its establishment in 1996, serving firstly as Vice-Chairperson and then as Chairperson until June 1999. A committed feminist, Anne has worked in the voluntary/community sector since returning home in 1984 after spending five years studying law at Manchester and London Universities . Currently Anne is the Director of the Women's TEC (Training, Enterprise and Childcare Centre) after spending 10 years as Co-ordinator/Director with the Shankill Women's Centre.
