The application process is in two stages – The Part A Application Form is done online followed by a hardcopy Part B Application Form. Details below. See Current Calls link on homepage for more specific details about current call criteria.

Accompanying documentation may include: A business plan, a feasibility study, financial accounts, a copy of the governing document, letters of support.

> Advise Project Promoter of the progress of their application and indicate proposed timescale for a decision.

Indicative processsing times from the date of the close of the call:-

Up to £20,000 - 10 weeks
£20,000 to £250,000 - 12 weeks
£250,001 - £300,000 - 24 weeks
£300,001 - £500,000 - 26 weeks
over £501,000 - 28 weeks

Comment

The processing of the application may take longer if requests for additional information are not responded to within 14 days. Proposals with a Total Public Cost of £250, 000 or more must undergo an Economic Appraisal. It should be noted that, following an open call, many applications must be appraised before being brought collectively to the BLSP Board.

To be requested in writing by the Project Promoter within 28 days of the letter of rejection. 1st stage review to be completed within 8 weeks of request. 2nd stage review to be completed within a further 8 weeks.
